Licensed Clinical​ Mental Health Counselor-Supervisor and Owner

I am a Concord and Kannapolis native.  I went to Cabarrus County Public Schools.  I worked as a teacher and School Counselor in Cabarrus County, Kannapolis City, and Rowan ​Salisbury Schools.  

I went to undergraduate school at UNC-Charlotte where I obtained a B.A. in education.  I later returned to UNC-Charlotte, where I obtained a masters degree in counseling.  I have worked as a School Counselor in the school setting and as an outpatient therapist in the agency setting.  I have a total of 30 years of experience working with adults, teens, children, and families.  

I am trained in Reality Therapy/Choice Theory through William Glasser Institute.  I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through Beck Institute.  I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  I am trained in Play Therapy.  I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am certified in Triple P for parenting support at Level 3 Children and Teens.  My speciality area is Trauma.  I love learning, and I will continue to learn in order to best serve and empower my clients to live their best lives.

I use cognitive behavior therapy.  I will help you to become more aware of your thoughts and

to begin to recognize the connection between your thoughts and feelings.  I will help you to

change negative thoughts in order to help alleviate negative feelings such as anxiety and depression. I also use person-centered therapy, enabling you to focus on self-growth and gaining independence.

I have worked with children, teens, adults, individuals, and families in psychotherapy. If you are
